Iappeared to be the sound of a misfiring cilinder. 1 spark plug well had so much oil in it, it drowned the spark plug completely! I will have to remove the cilinder head extension and apply a new bead of sealant. But as I study the pdf manual of the 1750 tbi, this means the camshafts will become loose.
ACEAA3 is suitable for high performance petrol applications with long oil change intervals. It must meet a minimum viscosity under high shear and high stress conditions. To be specific HTHS viscosity must be 3.5cP or higher regardless of the SAE grade. That's why a 5w30 and a 5w40 plus others can all meet ACEA A3.

Was over the fence whether to bite the bullet on a higher mileage turbo engine with some particular issues such as the TBi, but seeing as I've always loved the 159 I simply couldn't help AlfaRomeo has fitted its new 200bhp 1750 TBi engine to the 2010 Brera coupé and Spider convertible ranges – alongside the 170bhp 2.0 JTDM diesel. We’d already seen both engines in theHi along with others I've had a leaky coolant header tank. I've had 2 replacements. Worth checking to see if it's been changed - I assume dealer will have cleaned up any residue if it has a problem like this!
